This website is owned and operated by Oaktree Soaps and Herbs. Throughout the site, the terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Oaktree Soaps and Herbs. These Terms specify the terms and conditions under which you may use the website and services offered by us.  Oaktree Soaps and Herbs offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here. By accessing or using the website or our service, you approve that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

 

Who can use the website:

 

In order to use our website and/or receive our services, you must be at least 18 years of age, or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, and possess the legal authority, right, and freedom to enter into these Terms as a binding agreement.You are not allowed to use this website and/or receive services if doing so is prohibited in your country or under any law or regulation that is applicable to you. 

 

Key Commercial Terms for Customers: 

 

When buying an item you agree that: (i) you are responsible for reading the full item listing before making a commitment to buying it: (ii) you enter into a legally binding contract to purchase an item when you commit to buy an item and you complete the check-out process.

When purchasing goods on this website, you agree that the personal information which you are required to provide when you register as a customer is true, accurate, and current in all respects and does not refer to any other person. 

 

The prices we charge for our products are listed on the website.  We reserve the right to change our prices for products displayed at any time, and to correct pricing errors that may inadvertently occur.  Additional information about pricing and sales tax is available on the payments page. We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms and Conditions by posting updates and/ or changes to our website.  It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your constituted use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of these changes.  

 

We attempt to be as accurate as possible when describing our products on our website; however, to the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant that the product descriptions, colors, information or other content available on the website are accurate, complete, reliable, current or error-free.

 

While every effort is made to accurately describe products on the website, the photographic image is only a general representation of the product.  All items are handmade in small batches, and as such, there might be slight variations between individual soaps and soap batches in terms of color, pattern, scent and texture, none of which will affect product quality. The swirl pattern inside, and on top, of soaps will vary within one soap batch due to the nature of the swirl itself and the behaviour of the soap batter at the time of soap pouring.  Oaktree Soaps and Herbs reserves the right to make changes to a design. 

 

Care of Soap and Precautions:

 

Once purchased, soap should be stored somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight, until use. After each use, soap should be placed on a free draining soap dish away from standing water. Failure to do so may make the soap very soft.  Soap is for external use only. If irritation should occur, discontinue use immediately.  We would be grateful for feedback if this should happen.

As with all new products, it is advisable to check on a small area of skin before main use.  Some essential oils and fragrance oils may contain potential allergens that may cause adverse reactions in some individuals. All ingredients are listed on the package and on the website in accordance with US laws and regulations.  If a customer has a known sensitivity to an ingredient or allergen, it is their responsibility to check the ingredient list of the product prior to purchase. 

 

Return and Refund Policy:

 

Due to hygiene concerns regarding cosmetic products that have left our care, all soaps, lotions, lotion bars, scrubs, perfumes, cleansers, lip products, and skincare items are not eligible for returns. 

 

We may not accept your order if an item you have ordered is out of stock, we are unable to get authorization for your payment, or if we identify a product or pricing error. We reserve the right to reject any offer to purchase by you at any time. 

 

Unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order, or you have cancelled your order in accordance with the cancellation policy, our acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place when we have dispatched the goods ordered by you. 

 

If we are unable to fulfill your order after our order acknowledgement, we will contact you by email advising you of this. 

 

If you are not satisfied and wish to return the (non cosmetic/soap) goods ordered, you must notify us within 14 calendar days of receiving your order.  Due to hygiene concerns, we will refund only UNUSED products that have their tamper seals unbroken (ie. jars and tubs of bath salts). 


 

Shipping and delivery: 

 

All in stock items will normally be shipped within 3 to 7 business days after we receive payment. This only includes our shipping time:  delivery times will be determined by the shipping carrier. If an item is out of stock temporarily, we will let you know. Any dates we specify for the delivery of the goods are approximate only and we will not be held liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay of the delivery of the goods. 

 

If you have not received the entire order as detailed in the email confirmation, please contact Oaktree Soaps and Herbs within three days of receipt of package. We accept no liability for any loss resulting from the customer’s failure to comply with our carrier’s delivery. It is the customer’s responsibility to check that the delivery address details are entered correctly when placing the order. Failure of delivery due to incorrect address being supplied is not the responsibility of Oaktree Soaps and Herbs. A replacement / refund will not be issued if the fault lies with the customer in this respect. 

 

We do not currently ship outside the United States.

 

We must be notified of any incorrect or damaged orders within 3 days of receipt. If the customer cancels the order after we have shipped it, we will charge a 10% surcharge. Where the reason for a return is NOT due to an error on the part of Oaktree Soaps and Herbs, all return costs incurred will be the responsibility of the customer, and a refund for items will not be issued until the goods are received back in an UNUSED (and where applicable, UNOPENED) and fully resellable condition. 


 

Wholesale, Special orders, Custom orders

 

We currently do not offer wholesale, special orders, or custom orders.  We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. 

 

Customer Service

 

The purchaser should notify Oaktree Soaps and Herbs immediately of any problems with the order by emailing  oaktreesoapsandherbs@gmail.com  Customer satisfaction is very important to us, and we will aim to deal with your concern or complaint within 5 business days.  In most cases, we will deal with your concern within 48 hours.
